What is a working dog?
You may have asked yourself : what is a working dog ? Working dogs are used for different purposes.
They can be used for several purposes, but in general working dogs are considered dogs that are trained to become police dogs or military dogs.
What are working dogs used for ?
A working dog can be used as detection dog or patrol dog. As detection dogs they are working to detect substances like narcotics, explosive material or other material that provides a smell.
Also can be assigned as search and rescue dogs, looking for human smell or human remains (for example when disasters have occurred).
Patrol dogs are especially trained to assist police or other law-enforcement agencies. They can be trained in off leash obedience, agility, tracking, building or vehicle search, article search, criminal protection or handler protection.

Single purpose working dogs
Single purpose working dogs are mostly used as detection dogs.
We train and sell our dogs to customers all over the world.
We offer green dogs, meaning that the customer can easily train these dogs themselves and that we selected the dogs available on drive and basic skills.
Semi-trained dogs have a basic training as single purpose working dog. A fully trained single purpose dog is trained to detection explosives or narcotics.

Dual purpose working dogs
Dual purpose working dogs have the quality to detect and protect.
Also these dogs are delivered to our customers in three different levels : green dogs, semi-trained and fully trained.
Most of these dogs are used by police forces or military forces all over the world.
Selecting working dogs
K10 Working Dogs invites their customers to visit our facility in the Netherlands. If necessary we can arrange special invitations for visa purposes. Please feel to contact us any time on this.
Once you and your delegation arrived in Holland, we can assist you with transportation from your hotel to our kennel.
Selecting working dogs at K10 Working dogs means you psychically get the dogs presented by our staff and you can test the dogs that are presented to you.
Medical
All our dogs can be x-rayed on hips and elbows on your request. They all have international passports that hold medical and vaccination records. K10 Working Dogs has its own medical department that can be used by your veterinarian while visiting our facility.

Besides delivering the best dogs available we can also provide your handlers the best and qualified handler courses. We can offer you programs, bases on your situation on site or in the Netherlands.
